Description
Georgian Institute for Strategic Studies (GISS) and Warsaw Institute are pleased to announce a call for applications for participation in 1.5-days training in the framework of the project “Disinformation in practice – identifying, researching and fighting harmful narratives in Georgia”.

Project co-financed by the Polish development cooperation program of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Poland.

The aim of the training is to strengthen the abilities of recognition and fighting with Russian disinformation by Georgian administration and non-governmental organizations.

Detailed goals are:

- Sharing Polish experience and knowledge about how does the Russian propaganda works, how to identify and fight against it in the region of CEE

- Complex diagnosis of Russian influence in Georgia

- Strengthening Georgian civil society

- Development of practical instructions for administration and the third sector in Georgia based on diagnosis and feedback from the participants.

Working language of the training will be Georgian. The participants will be awarded with certificates of participation.

Eligibility
- Applicants can be the representatives of civil society – local activists, journalists, church and local government administration from Tbilisi and the regions of Georgia.

Costs
Participation in the whole program is free.
The program will partially reimburse travel and accommodation costs for up to 10 participants from the regions of Georgia.
